Business Development Associate

 

T2 Biosystems is disrupting the landscape of clinical diagnostics with T2MR, the Company’s proprietary magnetic biosensor detector. The T2MR technology enables healthcare professionals to save lives and reduce costs by providing sensitive, accurate, and rapid diagnostic results. The company’s products can detect molecular or immunoassay targets directly from unpurified clinical samples in hospitals, labs and physicians’offices. We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Business Development Associate.

 
You may be the person we’re looking for if you have:
·         3-5+ years of experience in the medical in vitro diagnostics assay industry.
·         MBA and a BS/MS/Ph.D. in a related science field.
·         Experience within an invitro diagnostic company, venture capital firm, investment banking firm or consulting firm..
·         Demonstrated leadership capability.
·         Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
·         Presentation experience to potential partners, board members, at conferences and meetings(a plus).
 
Your responsibilities will include:
·         Researching, pursuing and developing strategic partnerships within vitro diagnostic and therapeutic companies, including but not limited to joint ventures, licensing deals, co- development agreements etc.
·         Assessments and analysis of markets, products, competitors, and new technologies.
·         Due diligence projects
·         Market Development as well as drafting company and industry reports
·         New Product Strategy
·         Forecasting/modeling, valuations and deal structuring
 
In addition, you will have:
·         An executive presence and the ability to communicate and work with executives and scientists.
·         Work at an aggressive pace and be deal oriented.
·         A high level of commitment and a track record of high quality work, with attention to detail.
·         Demonstrable resourcefulness along with good analytical thinking, clear data analysis, and the ability to draw sound conclusions.
·         The ability to work well with teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with an eye always on the goal.
