Senior Scientist/Project Leader Diagnostics R&D - Hemostasis

T2 Biosystems is disrupting the landscape of clinical diagnostics with T2MR, the Company’s proprietary magnetic biosensor detector. The T2MR technology enables healthcare professionals to save lives and reduce costs by providing sensitive, accurate, and rapid diagnostic results. The company’s products can detect molecular or immunoassay targets directly from unpurified clinical samples in hospitals, labs and physicians’ offices.We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join ourResearch and Development Team.

Responsibilities:

·         Drive technology development and innovation

·         Review and analyze data, algorithms and experiments

·         Participate in product design

·         Lead a multi-disciplinary project in a matrixed environment

·         Manage external collaborations and data collection

Our ideal candidate will possess:

·         Education and training in a physical science and/or engineering.

·         M.S. or Ph.D. with a minimum of 5 years product development experience in the in vitro diagnostics industry

·         Expertise in complex data analysis tools and data interpretation

·         Training and expertise in NMR applications and hardware development.

Your technical skills and abilities will include:

·         Experience working with blood based products, blood samples is a plus

·         Breadth of understanding across current practices for hemostasis testing a plus

·         Experience in low-field NMR a plus

·         Drug discovery platform development a plus

In addition, you will:

·         Have a track record for innovation

·         Proven success in taking a diagnostic test platform from conception through commercialization,

·         Success working in a team-based cross functional organization,

·         Be highly self-motivated, an excellent communicator, highly analytical, and

·         Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain focus on deliverables
