Research Associate

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Research Associate to be part of our Assay Development Group. T2 Biosystems, Inc. is an exciting early stage company whose mission is to revolutionize diagnostic medicine by providing immediate, accurate testing for nearly any health condition, in nearly any setting.

Responsibilities of the Research Associate will include performing, optimizing, and developing a variety of quantitative diagnostic bioassays. The successful candidate must have excellent laboratory, data analysis and organizational, record keeping and communication skills. This is a fast-paced startup environment, and you will be working on multiple, simultaneous projects.

A strong work ethic to generate high quality data under tight deadlines, collaborative and proactive attitude is a must.

You will have:
• a Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering, Biophysics, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field;
• 0-2 years of related experience;
• excellent oral and written communication skills; and
• demonstrated productivity in a laboratory setting.

Experience with multiple assays (immunoassays and nucleic acid assays) is a plus, as is experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.
