Senior Scientist

 We seek a talented and highly motivated individual for a senior position in our Assay Development Group. T2 Biosystems, Inc. is an exciting early stage company whose mission is to revolutionize diagnostic medicine by providing immediate, accurate testing for nearly any health condition, in nearly any setting. The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple, simultaneous projects.

Requirements include:
• PhD. In Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biophysics, Physical Chemistry or Life Science;
• a minimum of 10 years' experience in medical device/diagnostics (immunoassays and nucleic acid) assay development;
• at least 5 years' experience in a supervisory capacity.

Desired Skills:
• A proven product development leader with experience in assay and test methods development, materials development, product failure analysis and process improvement for the medical device/diagnostics industries.
• Knowledge and experience in transfer of process to manufacturing, release of approved assays.
• Proven, hands-on experience in analytical methods development, assay qualification and validation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cGMPs along with working knowledge of design of experiments to optimize assay parameters.
• Strong writing and presentation skills.
• Excellent documentation skills, SOP writing and report generation in preparation of regulatory filings, especially 510K filings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork spirit
