NanoDx Nanoparticles

T2 Biosystems' MRD™ technology is based on superparamagnetic nanoparticles.  NanoDx™ particles have a superparamagnetic metal core surrounded by a polymer layer decorated by multiple analyte-specific binding agents. This nanoparticle platform can be used with a variety of binding agents such as antibodies, nucleic acids and small molecules. In the presence of analyte, the particles transition between dispersed and clustered states. Due to their coating and small size, NanoDx particles are highly soluble and offer rapid kinetics.

NanoDx particles can be functionalized to bind and sense a wide variety of targets including viruses, cells, proteins, enzymes, nucleic acids, and small molecules. Such nanoparticles have been used for both single-point measurements and continuous monitoring of target levels.

T2 Biosystems' MRD assay technology relies on the transition of a nanoparticle solution between dispersed and clustered states.
