The T2Plex Instrument utilizes T2 Magnetic Resonance (T2MR®) technology, which measures the transverse relaxation time of the nuclear magnetic resonance of the sample. By applying this technology to probe the microenvironments of water molecules in whole blood created during the hemostatic process, T2MR continuously measures magnetic properties during clot formation and lysis. Reported results capture a multiplex menu, based on T2 measurements taken over time, including clotting time, ﬁbrinogen concentration, platelet activity, ﬁbrinolysis, and novel biomarkers. Because of the nature of the detection methodology, T2MR does not require any mechanical rotation or other sample manipulation to acquire data.
