The FDA-cleared T2Dx® Instrument is a fully automated, clinical multiplex benchtop diagnostic system capable of running tests directly from whole blood. The T2Dx Instrument utilizes T2 Magnetic Resonance (T2MR®).
This proprietary technology measures how water molecules react in the presence of magnetic fields. Its non-optical detection method does not require sample purification and analyte extraction, which are factors that normally impede diagnostic test accuracy. T2MR technology enables a broad menu of assays that can be tested on a single platform, which greatly reduces the complexity of the consumables and the operator interface.
T2Dx Instrument Features:
- Rapid: Species-specific results in 3 to 5 hours with no up-front sample preparation.
- Simple: Fully automated system.
- Sensitive: Limit of detection as low as 1 CFU/mL.
- Blood matrix compatible: No blood culture required.
A simple user interface
The T2Dx Instrument contains a user-friendly touchscreen display with a graphical user interface. This interface provides step-by-step graphic and text prompts that guide the operator through loading, unloading, and viewing or printing results. The touchscreen also provides administrative access for T2Dx Instrument maintenance.
